This box is a perfect table or desk accessory to hold small items such as mints, paperclips, etc. it would also make a wonderful presentation box for a very special gift such as a wedding ring.

The box has a sandpaper and diamond burl finish that has been oxidized to bring out the texture of the surface. The lid of the box is pressure fit to the bottom.

The box measures:
42 mm width
32 mm inches depth
34 mm height including the legs the box part is 21 mm

The top of the box has rounded edges to give this box a trunk like appearance.

The surface of the box has been scratched and oxidized adding texture and depth.

The hinge is three part. The box has a nice closure clasp that represents the sun made from 18K gold and the moon pierced out of sterling silver sheet.

This would be a perfect presentation box for a very special gift such as a wedding or engagement ring, then a life long reminder of that special day.

I burnished the whole box except for the bottom with a scribe to give it some texture and still retain a nice smooth surface, a truly unique finish.

The rock crystal quartz is an oval cabochon with a reversed carved sea shell, it measures 28 mm by 17 mm and is 22.4 carets.

The top of the box is made of fine silver that has been woven to give it a basket like appearance.

The surface of the box has been scratched and oxidized adding texture and depth.

The hinge is three part. The box has a nice deep blue star sapphire set in 14K bezel that functions as a clasp to keep the box tightly closed.

I do not know the origin of the sapphire it could be created in a lab or natural I just found it in a box of loose gem stones and thought it looked nice.

The rock crystal quartz is an oval cabochon that is clear with a reversed carved sea urchin, it measures 0.7 inch, (15.24 mm) by 0.5 inch (12.7 mm) and weighs 10.3 carats.

This is a natural gemstone that has been hand carved by a master gem cutter. I would love to be able to find more of these gems!

One of a kind Art Metal.

Handcrafted reticulated silver and sterling silver box.

This box would make a lovely little pill, treasure or presentation box.

The sides and the top of this box are made from reticulation silver, the bottom is composed of sterling silver. The top of the box forms a tight pressure fit seal.

Reticulation is a really fun process with silver. There are a lot of steps involved and it comes out differently every time. The metal is heated and treated at least six times to achieve the finished look.

The silver is “reticulation silver” which is composed of 80% fine silver and the rest is copper.

A very unique box that because of the dendritic nature of reticulation silver is tricky to craft.

One of a kind art metal box.

This nice little box is made of sterling silver.

It has a three knuckle hinge and a secure pressure fit closure.

The top of the box is accented with a bezel set holley lavender chalcedony. The stone measures 12 X 8 mm 3.5 ct.

The stone has a waterly translucent lavender color, a very pretty stone.

The box surface has a scratched and tumbled finish which gives it a textured matte finish.
