Sterling silver anticlastic earrings.
These earring are a recreation of bronze age ribbon torques worn by Celts. The method for creating these helical torques was lost for over 2000 years until Michael Good, working with Brian Clarke, rediscovered the technique.
Instead of a necklace or torque I have fashioned this shape into earrings. Anticlastic forming allows these earring to be very lightweight yet strong.
The double helix form catches light beautifully.
Easy to wear everyday and also great for a special event.
These earring are highly polished. The length from ear wire to end is just over 3 inches (76 mm). The size can be seen in the third photo.
Completely handmade by me with handmade sterling silver ear wires.
