The cabochon measures 30 mm in length and 7.1 mm in width at the widest part of the oval. It weighs 7.1 carats.

I have bezel set the sugilite in fine silver and the rest of the piece is sterling silver with a matte, brushed finish.

The pendant is centered on 18 inches of sterling silver rolo chain with sterling lobster clasp closure. It is made in such a way that the pendant stays centered when you are wearing it.

This gemstone is a real beauty – sugilite can be so beautiful! Often is it very dark but this piece is a gorgeous, vibrant purple.
