Handcrafted sterling silver hinged box.

This whimsical little box has eyes, a smiley mouth and a tongue. I call him Fred but I am sure he would be happy to adopt another name.

I played with the angles of the front, back and top of the box to give it a very unique look. The surface is a matte finish.

The tongue acts as a clasp to keep the box securely closed.

This fun little box is always smiling back at you. A great little pill, presentation or treasure box.

The box measures:
Length 25.6 mm (1 inch)
Height 20.8 mm (0.8 inch)
Width 26 mm (1 inch)

Sterling Silver Mission Style Box

Sterling Silver Oxidized Box

Made in the style of the arts and craft movement or mission style.

This box is a perfect table or desk accessory to hold small items such as mints, paperclips, etc. it would also make a wonderful presentation box for a very special gift such as a wedding ring.

The box has a sandpaper and diamond burl finish that has been oxidized to bring out the texture of the surface. The lid of the box is pressure fit to the bottom.

The box measures:
42 mm width
32 mm inches depth
34 mm height including the legs the box part is 21 mm

Sterling Silver Sun Moon Box

Handcrafted sterling and fine silver hinged box with sun moon clasp.

The top of the box has rounded edges to give this box a trunk like appearance.

The surface of the box has been scratched and oxidized adding texture and depth.

The hinge is three part. The box has a nice closure clasp that represents the sun made from 18K gold and the moon pierced out of sterling silver sheet.

This would be a perfect presentation box for a very special gift such as a wedding or engagement ring, then a life long reminder of that special day.

Sterling and Fine Silver Box with Star Sapphire

Handcrafted sterling and fine silver hinged box with star sapphire catch.

The top of the box is made of fine silver that has been woven to give it a basket like appearance.

The surface of the box has been scratched and oxidized adding texture and depth.

The hinge is three part. The box has a nice deep blue star sapphire set in 14K bezel that functions as a clasp to keep the box tightly closed.

I do not know the origin of the sapphire it could be created in a lab or natural I just found it in a box of loose gem stones and thought it looked nice.

This would be a perfect presentation box for a very special gift such as a wedding or engagement ring, then a life long reminder of that special day.

This box is essentially a cube measuring:

The round sapphire cabochon measures 5.2 mm.

Mission Style Side Table Box

Sterling silver side table with draw.

Made in the style of the arts and craft movement or mission style. It is made to appear like a night or side table with drawer. A unique miniature art metal piece.

This box is a perfect table or desk accessory to hold small items such as mints, paperclips, etc. it would also make a wonderful presentation box for a very special gift such as a wedding ring. Or it could be a beautiful piece for a very special doll house.

The box has a sandpaper and finish to bring out the texture of the surface. The texture gives the surface a wood like appearance.

Silver and Gold Hinged & Latched Miniature Steamer Trunk

I was thinking of a miniature, old fashioned hope chest or a steamer trunk when I made this box.

It is handcrafted of recycled sterling silver and 18 karat yellow gold.

The sterling has been oxidized to a deep black – it really shows off the gold accents.

The box is hinged on one side and the clasp is riveted (and hinged) to be like a clasp on a trunk.

You can see in the photos that I have given the box a texture that reminds me of wood and made a decorative pattern of two stripes in a different texture around the box – that adds to the “miniature, old fashioned trunk” feeling to me.

I can imagine that this box would be an amazing addition to a really cool dollhouse or to a collection of miniatures or boxes.

All of my boxes are one of a kind and made with ethically sourced, recycled/reclaimed metals.

Dendritic Quartz Sterling Box

This nice little box is made of sterling and fine silver.

It has a three knuckle hinge and a secure pressure fit closure.

The top of the box is accented with a bezel set dendritic quartz. The stone measures 18.5 X1 9.2mm
