Sterling Silver Triangular Box with Eye of Providence Motif.
This great little box is made of sterling silver and an earring I found in my studio.
I was making a triangular box and found an earring that looked like an eye, so I took the earring apart and used them together to make “The Eye of Providence”.
The eye is made of sterling silver, resin and I believe a black onyx bead – a found object. It is attached to the box using a fine silver bezel.
The rest of the box is sterling silver.
I scratched the top of the box to represent sunbeams radiating from the eye.
The surface of the box is a sandpaper finish except for the bottom.
The top and bottom of the box form a tight pressure fit seal.
The box measures, not including the eye:
Height: 0.75 inch 19.05 mm
Width: 2 inch 50.8 mm
Depth: 1 inch 25.4mm
I work with Harmony recycled metals – all metals have been reclaimed.
A unique art metal box. I love the way this came out and it was really fun to make!
