This piece of jewelry is made from sterling and reticulation silver and I think of it as a fairy door brooch.
There is a “little doorway” cut out and formed from the metal.
I have used reticulated silver and then “framed” that with sterling silver.
A small (4 mm) garnet cabochon has been bezel set onto the piece.
The pin measures 1.5 inches (38mm) by 0.95 inch (24mm)
The piece has a nice weight to it – it would be a great accent for a jacket.
